I'm a sucker for R&B songs, always have been and always will. And I think one of the most kick-ass female R&B singers to date is of course Mary J. Blige. Although previously I wasn't really a big fan of hers, especially during her younger years,but somehow she started to get better and better year by year. I personally think she's a tough cookie herself, and I think she delivers well in most of her love/break-up songs. One sexy chick I tell you. And yes, a girlpower at heart. I'm indeed in awe over your credibility in singing wholeheartedly in most of your meaningful songs, Mary. Respect,respect! Black singers will always top it all off. Majority of them, that is. If any of you have the time to listen to her songs, please listen to this one especially : I Am . Fantastic.
